Aurora Gold Corporation is a mineral exploration company focusing on exploration and development of its 4 properties totaling 27,380 hectares in the Tapajós Gold Province, State of Para, Brazil.
The Tapajós Gold Province of the Amazonian Craton has produced approximately 600 tonnes of gold in the past 40 years. It represents a major magmatic area and contains more than 100 gold deposits. The majority of mineralisation is found related to quartz veins and stockworks within granitic intrusives.
Aurora Gold Corporation has entered into 4 project areas in the Southern Tapajós Gold Province considered to be highly prospective for large tonnage high-grade gold deposits.
The Tapajós region is considered under-explored and Aurora is confident of delineating significant areas of mineralised material in the near future.
